The Challenge: How can we encourage festival visitors in a creative and positive way to travel fossil-free to Into The Great Wide Open, by making sustainable travel more attractive or fossil-fuel travel less appealing, so that fossil-free becomes the norm?
The Solution:
If you travel fossil-free to Into The Great Wide Open, you’re FIP: Fossil-free Important Person. Everyone who came to the island without using fossil fuels got an advantage. Whether you biked, took the train, hitchhiked, sailed, or walked: those who chose a fossil-free journey became part of the FIP crew.
With the recognizable FIP pin, you could show you were part of the movement, which came with fun perks: a FIP deck with the best view, a premium camping spot reserved for FIPs, and access to a FIP party.
On top of that, we gave non-FIPs a fun hint to encourage them to travel fossil-free next year: A (fake) parking ticket.
